DynCorp International Has $77 Million LOGCAP IV Task Order In Kuwait

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – February 18, 2009 – The U.S. Army Sustainment Command has authorized DynCorp International (NYSE:DCP) to proceed under a LOGCAP IV task order for support services in the Kuwait Area of Responsibility (AOR). This task order was awarded to DynCorp International on November 7, 2008, but the award was under a stay-of-performance due to a protest by the incumbent. The stay-of-performance was lifted February 11, 2009, following denial of the protest by the U.S. Government Accountability Office.

This is the first task order award to DynCorp International under LOGCAP IV. DynCorp International will be responsible for movement control operations, managing the in-transit logistics and facilities needed for U.S. military personnel to arrive and depart the Kuwait AOR. This includes base camp services, life support and operations and maintenance for U.S. government facilities, including designated debarkation seaport and airports.

The potential value of this task order is $77 million for a transition period and one year at full performance. Up to four option years may also be awarded at the discretion of the government.

DynCorp International was also previously awarded a task order for services in support of the Udairi Army Air Field in Kuwait. This task order has a value of $20 million, and is currently under a stay-of-performance due to a protest by the incumbent.

Under the LOGCAP IV contract, DynCorp International is one of three providers who will support U.S. forces worldwide with immediate focus on those deployed in the Middle East. DynCorp International holds several important logistics and contingency contracts for the U.S. military, and was the sole holder of the LOGCAP II contract from 1997-2002.
